You're a queer, neurodivergent Fae, though you haven't quite figured that out yet. The queen has appointed you to a diplomat post — in the Seelie court. You're traveling there now with a retinue of Fae who don't understand you.

Unseeling Your Gender is a game about discovering your identity when you're queer, neurodivergent, and gender roles / social norms don't make any damn sense.

Inspired by:

  •  Swords Without Master by Epidiah Ravachol
  • Fiasco by Jason Morningstar
  • The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin
  • Jirel of Joiry by C. L. Moore

Cover art by H.C. Louwerse

What you'll need:

  • 3-5 players, with one acting as the facilitator
  • at least two six-sided dice
  • somewhere to record your character details

Development Status: DRAFT

If you're familiar with Swords Without Master and are comfortable improvising a scenario, you could probably run it.

  • Drafted: Premise,  Core Mechanics
  • In Progress: Scenario, NPC's, Additional Phases, Tables / Generators, Examples

The .docx should open with MS Word or Libreoffice. The .epub you can open with most e-reader software.

Does this game require a GM? Or is it GMless? Recommended number of players? Or solitaire?

Hey I added that info to the description. Like Swords Without Master it is about halfway between a GM-less/full game and a GM’d game.

Oh cool.  Thank you!
